This section of the documentation provides a reference for the Metadata Elements that are available for use in each documentation type. This reference section is provided as a complement to the tools available on the Page Type Ribbon Tab when you are working in the Page Type editor and the Metadata toolbar in the Scrap editor to assist you in understanding the available Metadata Elements and their parameters.

A good place to begin learning about Metadata Elements is to create a custom Template and examine the Page Types, Scraps and the Metadata Elements they contain. This will give you an understanding of where the different Metadata Elements are used, and the structure of the standard Page Types before you begin any customization.
